6clickz is a digital agency dedicated to growth marketing. Our most frequent clients are medium and large e-shops, which are interested in growing and expanding, but we also love to work with small e-shops when we see high growth potential.
The basis of our portfolio are clients who set up e-shops about 5 years ago and put their trust in us. Today they are large e-shops that expanded to multiple countries. These are the projects we do best and fulfill us the most because we always have the best results when the collaboration is long-term.
Starting a business in the capital city is an easy way to start it but it’s not the only way to succeed. This was proved by the marketing agency 6clickz, which is based in Slovakia, the city of Košice, which is in totally opposite direction from the capital city Bratislava.
In this interview, Lukáš Hvizdoš, Senior Digital Marketing Specialist from the 6clickz agency, will tell us more about how was the agency founded, what is it that they do and why do they use the CSS service for their clients.
Hi Lukáš, I would like to start with an introductory question. When and where was the 6clickz marketing agency founded?
The 6clickz agency was established in 2016, but my colleague Milan Cidilo and I were already involved in online marketing in Prague way before that. We founded the agency in Košice because we wanted to offer the know-how that we gained in Prague to Slovak clients as well. So basically, since 2016, we have been working in two offices, in Prague and Košice.
That sounds interesting, can you tell us what does the collaboration between offices looks like?
I think the collaboration works great. We generally try to minimize 1:1 meetings for work tasks, so it doesn’t matter to us where an individual specialist works from. My colleague Nina works permanently from the home office and she even worked from Spain for several months. Another colleague Laura currently works from Ireland. This way we can only work thanks to fully functioning project management, which we solve using the Asana tool, where practically our entire work agenda is located. For quick communication between work colleagues, we use Slack and Google Meet is of course fully suitable for any kind of strategic meeting.
A friendly and handy team is the basis of every business. With how many employees did your agency start with and how many do you currently have?
The two of us started it all and gradually we hired more people. Within the first few years, we could hire only around 2 people. This has gradually increased and today there are 16 of us. We always focused on quality over quantity, so in the first years, we were not able to hire more than 2 people a year. When we hired someone we had to make sure that they are properly trained and that they can do everything as we did it.
Do you specialize in Google and Facebook, or do you offer customers or other marketing services?
We specialize in growth marketing, more specifically mainly in performance marketing and e-shop expansion. We achieve the goals that our clients set by using Google Ads, Facebook Ads, e-mailing, and much more. We also offer our clients business consulting, where we cover the improvement of the conversion rate on the e-shop (UX), the improvement of internal processes (proper project management), and the overall whole growth plan for the e-shop.
There are thousands of e-shops in Slovakia. Do you have favorite segments of e-shops or do you advertise in all segments?
We do not have favorite segments. In general, we stick to having only one client with a specific assortment in one region. If there is anyone with the same assortment that wants marketing services from us, we will politely decline them.
Our favorite e-shops are the ones, that want to grow, expand, have a good technical background (quality e-shop solutions and good programmers), and where the owners of the e-shop want to improve their business.
Do you collaborate only with Slovak and Czech e-shops or do you have clients from abroad?
Most of our clients are Czech and Slovak e-shops. There are a few exceptions and those are clients from Hungary or the USA.
I have one question regarding Google Ads. Do you use Shopping campaigns for all of your clients or are there clients, where Text campaigns worked better?
We use Shopping campaigns for all clients where they are possible to run and where the products are well known, which means that people know them and search for them. For such clients, Shopping Ads are currently by far the most powerful type of campaign.
Facebook Ads works best for clients where the products are not generally known and we have to provoke the demand.
Classic text ads perform best mostly whit projects, where Shopping Ads cannot be run.
How did you decide that the CSS service will be an improvement for your clients?
I don’t remember exactly what the trigger for the activation was and why we decided to start with the CSS service, but it was certainly based on recommendations from the marketing circles where we move.
Why did you choose us as your CSS partner?
As soon as we decided to go for it, we did a very similar survey, like you did: https://www.cssshoppingin.eu/hladamfarby-sk-achieved-19-cpc-with-css-program-shopping-in-eu/ and we got similar results. Besides, it was an added bonus that you were from Slovakia.
How satisfied are you with our communication and support?
We are very satisfied with the services. The website is great and we can find all the necessary information on it. We have our own account manager and with your support, problem-solving is really easy and you always solved every problem that occurred.
What would you recommend to e-shops that are starting now?
This is a very difficult question to which there is no easy answer. The most important thing is probably to estimate the product potential, what are the most suitable marketing channels to start with, to perform a complete analysis, and not to work with low margins.
Nowadays, it is very difficult to succeed with the e-shop if the products have low margins. There is high competition, which is mostly well established. It has even happened to us that we had to reject the client and advise him not to engage in any paid marketing. We did an extensive analysis and everything always pointed out huge losses in the online advertisement.
On the other hand, thanks to Covid, the e-commerce market is growing like never before, so today it is easy to find segments that have huge potential. However, what I mentioned at the beginning is important. Don’t work with low margins and choose the right marketing strategy to start with.
At the same time, I recommend that potential founders of new e-shops realize that in some cases it can take up to 1-2 years for the e-shop to break even (looking from the online marketing perspective), so be patient.
